Snehal Srivastava was arrested for 'allegedly' killing Kevin Doherty around 9 am on August 29th. Kevin Doherty had just dropped his 6 y/o son off at school and was walking back to his house when he photographed someone spray painting. He then called the police and while on the phone with police shots rang out and Doherty said, "He shot me," according to CBS News. Srivasta was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Western Mass. Regional Women's Correctional Facility in Chicopee according to Yahoo! news.
Tremaine Carroll was incarcerated in 1999 for three counts of kidnapping for ransom, two counts of robbery, three counts of "oral copulation in concert by force," as well as attempted carjacking, grand theft, possession of a concealed firearm, and possession of a weapon by a prisoner. Carroll was sentenced to 25 years to life under California's three strikes law and was denied resentencing in 2015 because he was determined to "present an unreasonable risk of danger to public safety."
However, under California's Senate Bill 132, Carroll claimed he identified as a woman and was transferred to a woman's prison where he was charged with two counts of rape and one count of dissuading a witness before being transferred back to a men's prison. Additionally, it seems they were forcing female guards to conduct a full-body search, which reportedly traumatized at least one prison guard.
