Some may say HR 4405: The Epstein Files Transparency Act, is just the Democrats trying to do anything to oppose President Trump, however this act is still vital in the view of many people. Although further insight may be required for the situation, the bill initially was brought to the House floor by Republican Thomas Massie from Kentucky. He filed a discharge petition consisting of 4 Republican signatures and 214 Democrat signatures, which required the bill to be heard without the Speaker of the House bringing it forward. On November 18, 2025 the bill passed the house almost unanimously with only Republican Clay Higgins dissenting. Then the bill passed the Senate unanimously before being signed into law by President Trump. This law will require the disclosure of all files "that relate to the investigation and prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein." The files will have to be searchable and downloadable and is assumed to be released by December 18. This is an example of the bipartisan legislation the American people want. Bipartisan, almost unanimous, not one Republican flipped amongst a plethora of Democrats, or vice versa. Somehow the parties seem to be losing enough control over their voter bases that the people may actually get to have what they want.
Simon Pearson worked for 20 years at Preston College in Preston, Lancaster, England. He made two Facebook posts addressing the Manchester Airport police assaults and the Southport Tragedy. On August 15, 2024 the Islamic representative of the National Education Union at Preston College submitted a complaint and threatened to go to the police if Pearson was not fired. Despite Pearson providing evidence of his support of Muslim students he was still dismissed for violating policies, damaging professional relationships, and risking the college's reputation. Pearson, with the aid of the Christian Legal Centre is now suing for wrongful dismissal, harassment, and discrimination under the Equality Act of 2010.
Canada has been seeking to limit free speech by calling it hate speech. A new bill was proposed to detail ways Parliament can "enact laws that limit Charter rights and freedoms," and even this bill seems to have questions on its own constitutionality. To find a way to see the bright side of things, the bill proposes redefining hatred as "[involving] the detestation or vilification." So instead of the current laws saying that "willfully promoting hatred," means willfully promoting "disdain or dislike." So perhaps that is a small improvement, but it hardly matters granted the context of the bill. It seems there is a reason Canadians have been stereotyped as being very polite, they are legally required to do so. If free speech is not free from governmental retaliation, it is not free.
The United States has historically retained separate prisons for males and females, men and women. However, in recent years the definition of women has become perverted. This leads to the ever increasing rate at which men are choosing to go to women's prisons. This has caused many safety concerns for biological women who are at a biological disadvantage to their male counterparts. Additionally, prisons are required to provide medical care for inmates. As transgender inmates become more common, these voluntary aesthetic treatments place a greater toll on the tax payer.

Donald Trump got inaugurated on January 20, 2025. He came in with a fierce agenda and with many campaign promises. On his first day he signed many executive orders and got many things done. Enough that he made 5 pages of news on the white house website before 10:30 pm the day of his inauguration. Perhaps he completely overhauled the website graphics too, or I may have just not signed onto the website in a while. Anyhow, what did he do? Does it line up with what he said he would do? And what does that mean for the average citizen? These are all interesting questions that need answers.
