In an attempt to discover the differences in the 2 texts I have them both written out in full for you to compare below.
Scandinavia is a little known grouping of the countries of Denmark, Sweden, and Norway based on their similarities in culture. These countries are known for their frigid climates and for the Vikings who raided and traded with various countries. The Nordic countries also include these 3 countries, but also add in Finland and Iceland.
New England is a group of small states in the Northeastern USA. It consists of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. The region was originally settled by English puritans following Captain John Smith's exploration of the region in 1614 on behalf of London merchants.
According to Wikipedia, the southwest includes Arizona and New Mexico, as well as parts of California, Colorado, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah. Although I would be surprised if this grouping is not highly contended in the region. Apparently since the 1930s there has become a ski culture in the region. During WWII the US created Camp Hale in Colorado to train an elite ski division. The region is known for its Sand Dunes as well as for the Grand Canyon.
